NPCs:

Lana Nielsen
Leos' Operator. Essentially acting as both his mission support and manager -  passing him updates during missions on changing situations and keeping track of his Arena Career. She comes off as a chilly and detached woman who brooks no nonsense, given Leos' fear of angering her she may have a terrifying temper as well though she never seems to show it. Despite this however she does have a heart and will often be surprisingly sympathetic, even kind - given the role she had in assisting Leos in finding a way to avenge his loved ones, this may possibly be why he refuses to seek out other Operators who could probably give him an easier time.

Lana and Elan will approach the Unity group to offer Leos' services as a pilot.

However as time progresses in the canon, she seems to become more 'off' in several minor ways and her motives begin to be called into question. Details regarding this will be revealed on the finale.

Elan Cubis
The head of R&D for the PROGTECH Corporation, a top scientist, investigator and Leos' Arena Sponsor. Personable and friendly, Elan will have a chance to interact with people during some of the missions. PROGTECH itself will contribute some assistance to the Unity group, though admittedly it would be minor.

Feeling that there is some sort of pattern in regards to incidents at the Ark and several instances of Corporate Battles and Sabotage, he will come to rely on the Unity Group and Leos to assist him in the days to come... because his investigaion will eventually lead to a dangerous figure taking notice.

Hustler One:
The proverbial white whale to Leos' Ahab. The pilot of AC Nineball is the top ranked pilot in the Arena and one of the deadliest Ravens in the Nest's stable. Yet despite being such a high profile figure nobody has ever seen his face. His motives are also downright impossible to understand as many of the things he undertakes are often without reason or rhyme. All that is known is that if he comes for you or if you challenge him, you're in for a world of hurt. As the plot progresses, more of Nineball is revealed. He is undeniably vicious and often speaks disdainfully to others.

MISSIONS

Mission 01: Cops and Robbers
A simple straight up mission. A chronic hacker had apparently taken control of several automated security mecha and attempted to enact a hostage situation. However he had bitten off more than he could chew before holing up somewhere in the city (Possibly with the accompanying canon's antagonists). The group is requested to take him alive... if possible.

When the hacker attempts to make his escape however, Nineball will make an appearance here and proceeds to kill the Hacker. After doing as such he will proceed to talk down at Leos and utterly dismiss his attempts at revenge, calling him beneath his notice. Leos will attempt to attack Nineball... and get beaten down. Hard.

Mission 02: Hide and Seek
A marine lab belonging to PROGTECH comes under attack. The attackers apparently being unknown and having practically no information associated to them hit the lab hard. The Raven already assigned to protection duty had already perished. Rather than save the lab entirely, the request was primarily the evacuation of a VIP. Elan Cubis.

While the first few mooks are easy to deal with, a heavily armed and amphibious transforming mecha will leap out of the water to fight the heroes after a round or so. While it will fight, it will do its best to flank around in order to trash the facility in an attempt to murder Elan.

The Amphibious Mecha is armed with dual machineguns and dual shotguns in each arm and missile launchers on both sides of its head.

Interlude: Human PLUS
Some time after Mission 2 and after Leos does a few missions that end badly, Lana will notify Leos that Murakumo Millenium has extended an offer to Leos for its Human PLUS project. The Corporation itself has a reputation for its less than ethical business practices and was also one of the corporations that destroyed his home. The project itself aims to create pilots that are capable of absolutely destroying all enemies before them with ease. Leos, intrigued by this will leave the Unity group for a while...

... and come back an absolute wreck, covered in surgical scars, clearly traumatized and looking like he was a hair's length away from dying. Medical observations will reveal that he was heavily enhanced with numerous cybernetic interfaces and various biological enhancements... ones that required a horrific level of invasive surgery and are more or less impossible to reverse.

After this interlude it is suggested Armored Core's missions are delayed for the course of a few months.

Mission 03: Keep Away
A container, contents unknown was stolen from a PROGTECH research facility studying a derelict space ship. The mission is pursuit and retrieval as the enemies have fled further into the ship. The enemies along with several mecha and gun turrets are the ACs known as 'The Wolf' and 'Icy Blue', a hard hitting tank type with cannon arms, grenade launchers and a missile launcher that fires truly large warheads and a machine armed with a Karasawa Rifle, High powered laser blade and external batteries to power the two up further respectively.

Retrieving the container will have Elan reveal it contains a databank involving some sensitive research. Post-mission it will be revealed it was not just a study of the ship but also data regarding his investigation on Nineball and the various corporate battles that seem to be cropping up all over the place with large amounts of collateral damage. Elan will reveal that among several people who died in the battles, there is always a scientist, or an investigator or someone who has many connections. The battles appear to be a cover for assassinations.

(Addendum: Any questioning to Elan regarding the nature of Human PLUS will reveal that he was the one who contacted Murakumo to enhance Leos.People calling him out will reveal that Lana was the one who requested him to do it despite the reservations he had about the whole thing.)

Mission 04: Tag
PROGTECH's Corporate HQ has come under heavy assault. As it turns out the timing had coincided with the transfer of Elan Cubis to the facility. The attackers have no identification, electronic or otherwise and are doing their best to destroy everything they can.

When Elan gets into contact with the Unity group he'll state that Nineball is behind the attack. When asked for confirmation... he will let the heroes know because he's looking right at the red AC. It seemed to be waiting... possibly for them. When the heroes engage Nineball it will make a statement.

"People who have too much power will destroy everything. Such people must be exterminated."

Destroying Nineball will have the other enemies retreat. Elan will inform everyone that he had made several discoveries and will share them with the heroes as soon as he can. Postmission he will state that  much of the technology found on the Derelict Ship seemed to resemble much of what remained of the destroyed Nineball's inner workings, and that anyone studying this technology was often eliminated.

A long while after the mission Leos will throw himself on a couch to watch some TV... to find that Nineball just had an arena match two days after it was destroyed. And it won.

Finale: Time to Grow Up
Prior to the mission, Lana goes missing - leaving only a cryptic message:

"There is a hidden factory at the coordinates I've left you. You all are the only people that know of it now. I am waiting there.

Scientists attacked... Nineball continues to live, in and out of the Arena even after death...

Do you think you've figured it all out? Come meet me to see if you're right."

The factory is dark... and the first room is a trio of Nineballs. One of them piloted by Lana. After the nineballs are destroyed, the walls will open up, revealing a factory. Nineballs. Several of them being constructed. Then the floor rattles and slowly descends. An elevator. A voice speaks, alternating between the harsh growl of Hustler One, to Lana's calm and collected tone, to a downright computerized voice.

"Why are all of you here?"

"Why do you insist on interfering?"

"The corporations, the ACs, the Ravens’ Nest..."

"All of these were formed by me."

"For the sole purpose of recreating the world and humankind with it."

"That’s the duty to which I’ve been entrusted."

"Those who wield too much power..."

"Those who only bring chaos..."

"They are simply not part of the program."

"I was created to protect mankind and this world. I intend to fulfill this task."

The Elevator finally completes its journey to a massive room dominated by a humongous supercomputer. One that begins to slowly retract and open, revealing Nineball Seraph.

"Modifying Program... Final Level..."

"All system checks are complete."

"Combat mode is now engaged."

"Targets verified. Commencing hostilities."

As Seraph goes down, the facility begins to self destruct... Lana's voice, albeit clouded with static comes onto the comms.

"Why do you do this...? Without order, humankind is doomed to extinction. What... is your wish?"

"Go... live.... time will tell which of us was right in the end."

Postmission, Leos will pack up and leave the Unity group. Thinking on everything that happened, despite all the friends he's made - perhaps it was time he moved on. Wanting to make a greater difference in the world he proceeded to join ESUN. Having already earned a reputation for being the Nine-Breaker, he soon is put in charge of his own unit - The Frighteners.

Ideally AC:MOA should be finished long before Gundam AGE.

Some time before any final battles with the Vagan, the Frighteners will appear to aid the Unity Group on a mission (Hopefully it would be at least half a year, maybe longer after the finale of the MOA plotline). Leos will rejoin the Unity group with his wingmen Boyle and Remille Fortner. However it will become obvious that there is something terribly wrong now with Leos... and the fact that his wingmen seemed to come into conflict with quite a few people in the Unity Group will not help, even if Leos does diffuse the situations.

Ideally after the defeat of the Vagan and the end of the AGE Plotline, Leos will once again leave the Unity Group. Apologizing for any trouble that had occurred because of his wingmen and hoping that there was no hard feelings...sincerely thanking everyone for putting up with him again and hoping no matter what, they would still be friends.

Mission 01X: Break

Roughly more than a week after his departure, Leos had formed an army of renegades and malcontents. At the core of them is his Frightener unit, around them is a good three quarters of the Raven's nest and several bandits and mercenaries. Declaring war on all the nations of Earth for the sake of mankind's future, he declares his intentions to take the massive STAI Battleship.

Given its orbital bombardment capabilities, it would seem apparent as to why Leos would want to take it over.

Nothing could be further from the truth. As the fight nears its end Leos will abandon his followers and make his way to a section of the STAI battleship and flee, proceeding to thank the heroes for removing a large chunk of the scum that lived on the Earth. He promises that when he comes back, he'll take care of the rest so the heroes can have a more peaceful world to live in.

Interlude X: Fracture

An emergency message comes to the Unity group from an old friend. Elan Cubis. Panicking, he reveals that Leos was not interested in the STAI's weapons but its interplanetary travel ability and that the Martian Moon of Phobos was Leos' goal all along. Apparently the moon was actually an ancient battle station based on the same technology that created Nineball and the derelict ship a long time ago. And this was no idle speculation because the moon in question was now missing.

Mission 02X: Shatter

Phobos has been detected approaching Earth. Given its speed and trajectory there is no other possibility. Leos intends to drop it onto Earth. An army of drones was occupying any attackers, but the Unity group will find a relatively thin area where resistance is minimal that would allow them to infiltrate Phobos and possibly stop it from the inside. The whole way the heroes fight however, Leos will converse with them. Apparently fighting them at first, the AC the heroes take down is revealed to be a drone.

The Problem is Elan who was to transmit instructions on how to disable the moon was jammed. Any communication to outside of the moon is jammed. When the heroes get through multiple drones they will find themselves in a massive room, similar to the one that held Nineball Seraph back on earth.

Leos is waiting there in the central room with drone copies of both Pale Rider and Ethermaster. He himself is piloting a massive mech, holding a smaller mech within its shell. The outer shell known as the Scarabeus is armed with massive machinegun arms, several missile launchers on each side of the massive ring on its back, as well as four laser cannons. The inner machine known as Filial is a frighteningly mobile machine that would most certainly kill an ordinary pilot with how it moves. It has a pair of high powered laser blades in its arms, several attack bits and a powerful spread shot laser cannon in its chest.

Once defeated, the jamming is lifted... and Elan will frantically try to contact the team, informing them that its too late and that Phobos is already closing into the atmosphere.

Leos however will speak up tiredly from the ruined Filial and activate a control that has a section of the room open up to a complex looking device, stating that the machine was all that was keeping Phobos in one piece during its journey to earth and if it was destroyed while the moon hits the atmosphere, it would all but break and shatter to pieces and be nothing more than a fireworks display to people on the ground.

Despite being suspect, Leos will explain that he's already beaten and his plans have gone up in smoke. Letting Phobos fall out of spite isn't his style.

The moment the device is destroyed, all that is left is to escape. If anyone tries to help him, Leos will refuse to leave, simply stating after everything he has done, its probably for the best he dies. Whether or not he is dragged out of Phobos is up to the people on the mission.

Events may play out differently if the addendum in this entry is used.
